Privacy Policy

REVLST finds, fixes and protects the links in YouTube creators' video descriptions. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

REVLST is operated by Bernardo Cabral, based in Portugal, who is the data controller for the information described here. Contact: hello@revlst.com. Postal address: Av. Elias Garcia 105, 1050-098 Lisboa, Portugal.

2. What we collect

Public YouTube data. Through the YouTube API Services we read public information about YouTube channels: channel name, subscriber count, video titles, view counts, publish dates and the text of video descriptions. We use this to find the links in those descriptions and test whether they still work.

Published business contact details. When a channel lists a business email address or social profile publicly for business enquiries, we may record it to tell the channel about broken links we found.

Information you give us. If you use our website, reply to us or sign up, we keep your name, email address, your channel, and the messages you send us.

Data from Google when you connect your channel. If you sign in with Google and authorise REVLST, we receive access to your YouTube channel so we can read your video descriptions, including unlisted videos, and update them with the fixes you approve. We only request the permissions needed for this.

Payment data. If you buy a paid plan, payments are handled by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.

Technical data. Our hosting provider may process IP addresses and basic request logs to keep the site secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. How we use it

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Legal basis

We contact creators about broken links on their public channels on the basis of our legitimate interest in offering a relevant professional service. We only use business contact details that the creator has published for that purpose, and every message includes a simple way to opt out. When you use the service, we process your data to perform our contract with you. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it.

5. Google and YouTube data

REVLST uses YouTube API Services. By using REVLST you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

REVLST's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular, data we receive from Google is used only to provide and improve the link-checking and link-fixing features you can see in REVLST. It is not used for advertising, it is not sold, and it is not read by people unless you ask us to, we need to for security or legal reasons, or it has been aggregated and anonymised.

You can revoke REVLST's access to your Google account at any time from your Google security settings. When you do, we delete the data we received through that access within 30 days.

6. How long we keep it

7. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run REVLST: email and file storage (Google Workspace, GoDaddy), website hosting (Cloudflare) and, for paid plans, a payment provider. They process data only on our instructions. Some of them may store data outside the European Economic Area, under safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy of it. To ask us to stop contacting you, reply "no thanks" to any of our messages or email hello@revlst.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) or to your local authority.

9. Security

We store data with providers that use encryption and access controls, keep access limited to the people who need it, and never ask for your Google password.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and, for customers, tell you by email.
